So after months of thinking, planning and preparing for the move we have finally made it to Nevada. We could not have done it without the help of my mum who helped me pack, clean, put stuff in storage, drive the 10 hours to Nevada and then unpack everything, oh and then give me a few nights off so I could go out and relax. So to my mum I owe a BIG THANK YOU!!!!! And of course to all the people who helped us load the truck and then unload. Thank you!
We packed everything and left the only home we have ever known together as a family. (that's really dramatic, but true:))

After we packed the truck and said our good-byes we headed to Nevada. We drove to California the first day and stayed the night. The next day we continued on our journey and made it here. We unloaded and got settled.

The kids are adjusting and making sense of their new place and having to share a room together. Bob is enjoying his new rotation and it is great to have him back with us.

We have already met some really nice people and hope to continue to meet others in the ward and around us. We look forward to our time here!
We miss you so much! We already have new neighbors and they are fine, but man you were better!!! They have a white car (not as nice as yours) but at a glance I always think "karen's home" and then I realize it's not your car:( We miss hanging outside with you guys and talking your ear off (ME) So glad that your sweet mom helped you out so much and glad you made it safely and are getting adjusted!
ReplyDeleteWe miss you guys a ton! Logan & Taylor are still missing your kids too. Wish you were still here, but I'm glad to hear that things are going well. The carpet cleaning van was at your old house a couple of days before the new family moved in and it made me think of you. Every time I see a car like yours I think for a second that it's you guys. Lots of little things like that. I'm so glad we got to know each other better this past year. Thanks for being such sweet neighbors.
ReplyDeleteMiss you guys too. I wish we could just go outside and play! Jaxon really misses Taylor and Logan. Just the other day, he said to me that they weren't talking to him, but after further explanation on his part, it was because we moved. Hope you are enjoying the rest of summer. Oh and John never charged me for those blinds:)
