PARTY!!!

Since Jaxon is turning 3 on May 8th, we decided that we would celebrate the weekend before with a few of  his little friends.  Anyone who knows Jaxon, knows that he LOVES superheroes.  And I mean LOVES them!  So this year for his party we thought that we would do a superhero type theme.  In order to do this, I enlisted the help of a few trusty sidekicks (pun intended) and I was able to create a party that I know Jaxon loved.

So we sent off the invitations to a few top secret agents (friends)

And then I started to work on the capes that everyone would be able to make at the party.  And for those of you who know me, you know that I DO NOT know how to sew and have never sewn a thing in my life except that quillow in ninth grade.  So this was a BIG thing for me to do.  And thankfully I have a husband who was more then willing to help!

And finally after all of my hard work;)  We were ready to party!

outside of the house

Inside the house, all ready for the kids to decorate their capes

so excited they can barley contain their excitement (Beckham and Jaxon)

Everybody working hard on their capes
And then it was cake and ice cream time, and of course Jaxon had to choose this cake.

singing happy birthday and blowing out the candles

all the kids enjoying cake and ice cream
After the dessert it was time for all of these superheroes to unite and  test some of their superhero skills.  (Bob planned all the activities for the kids to do.)

All of their capes that they did a wonderful job on.

And this is what the babies did at the party... nothing!
Risa and Eva

And so the testing of the skills began
seeing a how far they can throw (Skylar)
testing their riding skills (Isabel)

lifting a bucket full of water bottles for strength (Jaxon)
Seeing who can run the fastest
seeing how high they can throw (Maren)
After each challenge, one kid was awarded with a medal until everyone got one.

Some of these kids were very excited to get their medals

Beckham showing his off
The kids had a lot fun with the activities and I am grateful that Bob was there to take over and entertain them.  And of course we could not have superhero party and not have everyone in our family with a superhero cape...
So I made each of us one!

After the activities outside, we went inside and opened gifts and watched the Incredible's movies and of course ate more junk!

I know that Jaxon really enjoyed his birthday, because he thanked me for it all night!  And well it was all worth it for this guy!

Happy Birthday Jax!
